Do))) anything for Dethklok: Tumblr keeps banning people → blackenedbutterfly.tumblr.com

tamburina:

For posting “human mutilation.”

People die, people get murdered, it’s natural for others to be curious about death and what it looks like. I don’t see a problem with someone posting pictures of dead bodies or anything of that sort, as long as it’s done in a respectful way. We all…

Ten Things to Know about the Future of Comics → comixology.com

You post drawings on DeviantArt Tumblr, you share some hastily-penciled pages on social networking sites, maybe you make a website, more likely you just set up a blog, and you’re a cartoonist. Until you get tired of that and go back to being a fan.

My life in a nutshell.

Something that bothers me
is when women say that they are
shaving their vaginas
rather than their pubic hair.
I think it is safe to assume that women
who put razors into their birth canals
have much gloomier intentions
than hairlessness.

“The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and somthing else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case.” —Chuck Close (via drinkyourjuice)
